10 bands will compete

Ten 2025 ROCKONSIN State Finalist bands will compete & be showcased at Summerfest – The World’s Largest Music Festival. All finalist bands will receive two Shure mics and will perform 20-minute showcases at “The Big Gig.”

Free to apply

ROCKONSIN is FREE to apply, just send in a video of one cover or original song. It is the only statewide garageband competition in the nation open only to 7th – 12th grade Wisconsin bands of any musical genre. From age eligibility to NO band application fees required to compete, there is plenty to look forward to this season.

The Big Gig

The 2025 winning & runner-up bands will each be showcased with a prize winning 45-minute set on July 3rd on the Aurora Pavilion Stage. The top two bands will also receive recording time at Madison’s Blast House Studios. Each winning band member receives a ROCKONSIN trophy.
